We are looking for an HR Advisor to provide exceptional support, guidance, and advice to managers and employees across a wide variety of HR matters.
In this role, you will be a key driver of our People Plan, managing employee relations, supporting workforce planning, delivering key projects, and contributing to continuous improvement, diversity and inclusion, and HR systems development.
Key Tasks
Provide comprehensive, pragmatic HR advice to facilitate early resolution of complex or sensitive ER issues, managing risks in line with company policies and legislation.
Support and manage cases relating to disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, sickness, capability, and performance management, including liaising with Occupational Health and supporting formal investigations and hearings.
Advise, coach, and train managers on interpreting HR policies and front-end performance management to ensure consistency, best practice, and conflict prevention.
Support the Head of HR with organisational change issues, including TUPE and restructurings.
Manage sickness absence cases to reduce absence in line with targets. Support the review, update, and audit of HR policies to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
Lead on employee engagement surveys and ensure feedback is translated into actionable insights.
Produce detailed HR metrics and trend analyses (including retention, recruitment, and turnover) to provide the business with actionable solutions.
Maintain accurate HRIS data, provide first-line support for system queries, and contribute to system improvements and digital HR initiatives.
Support the HR team with key projects and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance overall HR service delivery.
What We Are Looking For (Essential Criteria)
Demonstrable experience in HR advisory roles with a strong, practical grasp of employment legislation, especially when supporting a multi-disciplined workforce.
Deep knowledge of handling disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, performance management, long-term sickness, and capability.
Exceptional ability to build credible working relationships, mentor, coach, and support managers to help them get the best out of their teams.
Results-focused with the ability to translate goals into concrete actions and solutions, while remaining calm under pressure.
A sharp attention to detail paired with the ability to prioritize a heavy workload and juggle multiple HR activities seamlessly.
Clear, simple, and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in MS Office applications and experienced with HRIS systems.
CIPD qualification or a relevant HR qualification.
