Role Overview:
Lead the delivery of high‑quality renewable energy projects as our Renewables Installation Supervisor. You’ll oversee field teams, ensure safe and efficient installation and maintenance of solar and other low‑carbon technologies, and drive operational excellence across our growing portfolio. This role blends hands‑on technical leadership with planning, problem‑solving, and mentoring. Perfect for someone ready to shape the future of sustainable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
Day to day field management, be the first point of contact for field teams in your region/area.
Complaints escalations, review complaints and present to client the resolutions and actions involved to settle
Installation referrals, review and action various referrals from different sources and instruct on surveys required.
Technical advisor, finding solutions to field related issues and be responsible for the resolution to keep the installation online and quality and standards kept high
Quote installations using calculators and/or SOR to establish a cost in line with departmental margins and expectations
Responsible for arranging the delivery of materials to site, once you have authorisation and knowledge for the installation date
Tracking installation status ensuring visibility of various jobs and statuses, actions for any jobs stuck in a certain status for longer than SLA
Pipeline visibility, be conscious of works/projects coming in future and establish capacity in order to be ready to deliver
Review installation job notes and action notes from installers, or question why this was not completed during installation
Review the surveyors reports for post completion, note any trends where quality or standards not met
Department financial reporting on number of completed installations per client and total weekly figures
Update clients on job statuses and quotations, bookings, potential challenges to install
Installation authorisation, act as decision maker on ich installations are to be booked when based off of priority, SLA or installer availability
Review departmental performance, reporting to line manager points of improvement or repeated issues
Lead and line manage effectively for field and admin staff. Ensure performance expectations are being met to keep in line with SLA’s
Skills & Experience
Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)
Must have Part L to be considered for this role
Proficient with Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Practical experience managing teams (essential)
Valid UK driving licence (essential)
Experience within social housing desirable
Technical understanding of renewable systems and an understanding of technical aspects of energy and environmental efficiency
Experience designing and specifying domestic and commercial energy efficiency solutions
Previous practical experience in gas maintenance across both domestic and commercial environments
Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
A professional and friendly attitude with the ability to forge strong relationships with both clients and tenants
