Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Gas Trainer / Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training and carrying out assessments in line with awarding body requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering training to candidates in preparation for their assessments across gas-related competencies
Conducting assessments in accordance with awarding body criteria and internal procedures
Assessing candidates on fault finding, diagnosis, and rectification
Reviewing and verifying completed assessment documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
Supporting the development and maintenance of training and assessment materials and equipment
Ensuring all activities meet regulatory, awarding body, and company standards
Assisting with any additional duties as required to support academy operations
Skills & Experience
Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)
Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, TAQA, A1)
Valid UK driving licence (essential)
Previous practical experience in gas maintenance across both domestic and commercial environments
Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
