Our company is going through a sustained period of growth and we have an excellent opportunity for Architectural Technician to join our team based in Livingston.

You will be a key part of our in-house design team, collaborating with the Senior Architectural Technician on various building warrant applications and submissions. This includes the alteration, modification, and upgrade of buildings nationwide for renewable energy integrations.

You will share and be part of our commitment to delivering meaningful quality, service, and environmental improvements, and you should have a general understanding of floor plans and technical surveys ideally with experience in External Wall Insulation. An interest in scientific and technological aspects of building, and environmental issues would also be an advantage, but not essential.

Key Tasks:

• Prepare drawings, plans of building warrant applications for External Wall Insulation applications and other Renewable upgrades including Solar Panel and ASHP installs

• Monitoring progress of project specific building warrant applications. Making amendments and further applications for additional properties and new projects, whilst ensuring compliance of quality standards in CAD and Revit format drawings.

• Document and update all drawings and associated paperwork for Statutory Building warrants, informing different bodies and coordinating investigatory works and required testing regimes.

• Ensure that the operational contract team have revised drawings, specifications and revised drawings as required.

• Respond to Local authorities on Planning and building warrant applications.

Required Skills and Experience

• HNC/HND/BSc Hons in Architectural Technology

• Knowledge of insulation measures and thermal bridge (EWI/IWI/RIR/FRI/UFI)

• Experience with Building Notices, Building Warrants, Planning Applications across UK including Listed Building Consents

• Advanced knowledge of Revit / Cad

• Basic knowledge of renewables (PV & ASHP) and Retrofit
