We are looking for a highly diligent and driven Payroll Officer to join our finance team in Livingston.

This isn’t just a data-entry role; you will be a key part of our Sureserve Energy Services UK division, ensuring our workforce is supported and compensated accurately as we scale.

Key tasks and responsibilities.

• Manage payroll within strict deadlines, including new starters, leavers, absences, and statutory pay (SSP, SMP, etc.).

• Reconcile fixed pay instructions (uplifts/salary changes) and prepare journals for the finance team to ensure flawless financial statements.

• Provide administrative services for pension schemes and ensure all processes align with current UK tax laws and payroll regulations.

• Act as a helpful point of contact for internal employees and external stakeholders, resolving queries with clarity and professionalism.

• Share your legislative knowledge within the business and maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.

Required skills and experience.

• Strong background in payroll processing and a solid understanding of UK payroll/tax legislation.

• A sound understanding of pension scheme administration.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with Miracle Pay is highly desirable.

• Clear, concise communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.

• Qualifications: While not mandatory, a payroll-related qualification is a distinct advantage.
