Purpose of the role:

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispatch team, ensuring efficient and timely coordination of engineers/Partners. This role involves managing dispatch staff, optimising dispatch procedures, and maintaining effective communication with Engineers clients, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and supervise the dispatch team, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance to ensure high levels of productivity and morale,
• Oversee the dispatching of Engineers/Partners , ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently and in accordance with company policies and client requirements,
• Facilitate clear and effective communication between dispatchers, Engineers clients, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and address any issues promptly,
• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency,
• Address and resolve operational challenges, including emergencies, delays, by coordinating with relevant personnel and deploying appropriate resources,
• Ensure accurate documentation of dispatch activities, quality assurance, and other relevant information for reporting and compliance purposes,
• Provide training and development opportunities for dispatch employees to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.

Salary £27,852 + a discretionary bonus based on successful achievement of monthly KPI’s

The Individual:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, or a similar role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership position,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant technology,
• Analytical skills to assess performance metrics and implement improvements,
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.

Office-based with occasional travel to field locations as needed.

Full time hours working Monday - Sunday  (unsociable hours)

Regular interaction with Engineer, clients, and other team members via phone, email, two way text.
