Position: Senior Estimator

Base Location: Bathgate

Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time / 40 hours per week

Salary: £43,000 to £53,000 per year

Our company is growing, and we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join our team Bathgate.

As a Senior Estimator, you will help with support growth plans, prepare and produce accurate cost estimates from receipt of tender enquiry to tender settlement stage, and assist the team to achieve the company business targets.

What will you be doing?

• Delivering the estimating process ensuring work is undertaken to commercial & qualitative performance standards, whilst providing estimating advice & commercial support to the Bid team, Regeneration Team and business wide.
• Take ownership for the timely processing of sub-contractor enquiries and negotiate sub-contractor’s quotations and produce competitive costs for packages where quotations are required.
• Ensure the tender risks in relation to all contracts are correctly identified and accounted for, and review lost tenders to see why, how and where improvements can be made.
• Measurement and preparation of accurate quantities from tender documents to ensure maximum competitive edge with a view to maximising tender success.
• Ensure that a consistent internal tender settlement / reconciliation report and handover process is implemented, and that pricing levels, margin and risk meet the approved business strategy.
• Be responsible for tender estimates / price build-up across the divisional work streams whilst developing and maintaining pricing master’s by analysing and summarising estimating information trends

What Should You Have?

• Experience of estimating for a main contractor within either Energy Services, Social Housing, or Construction sectors.

• A history of managing and prioritising your own workload whilst working to deadlines.
• Knowledge of working with Maintenance and NEC Contracts.
• Skilled in producing Bills of Quantities, cost value reconciliation frameworks, Schedules of rates, specifications and drawings
• Experienced in working with computerised estimated packages.

For this role you will require to have a full UK Drivers License.
