Role Overview:
As the Electrical QS, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence across the electrical division. The position calls for a blend of technical expertise and leadership acumen, providing technical support to the engineering team, managing workflows within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise electrical and gas engineering teams, promoting a safety-first culture
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth project execution
- Resolve any arising technical and logistical issues promptly to avoid delays
- Deliver action plans, to ensure timely work completion, at site where allocated resources have been unable to provide corrective repair
- Communicate effectively with clients, offering superior customer service, and managing expectations according to project timelines
- Multitask across diverse projects while maintaining attention to detail and resilience under pressure
- Lead by example, fostering teamwork and collaboration within and across teams
Who We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in electrical engineering within a supervisory capacity
- Strong leadership and communication skills are essential
- The ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively
- Capability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously without compromising on quality
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on meeting client needs
- Resilience and attention to detail
- A team player who can collaborate with others to achieve common goals
Skills
- NVQ level 3 in electrical installations, or equivalent (essential)
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and testing qualification, or equivalent (desirable)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671 qualification (essential)
- Hold the relevant qualifications to be considered QS on the approved contractor competent person scheme with the NICEIC
- Valid UK driving licence (essential)
